Baker City is close to lakes and rivers for water sports and fishing, and mountain ranges for skiing, mountain biking, hiking and hunting.  Baker City has a very artistic and charming downtown with a variety of restaurants, tasting rooms and art galleries.  You will see children biking and walking safely along the Powder River walkway to the local library or to our ownhometown ice cream parlor.  During the summer we feature free movies in the park in an outdoor theater that is also along the walking path. Baker City is also home to two medical systems that offer high quality care close to home.

Our school system includes educational opportunities for all ages, including specialized training through the Baker Technical Institute as well as a satellite location for Blue Mountain Community College.  All this charm and relaxation is just a 2 hour drive from Boise, Idaho for those that desire bigger city amenities.

We also offer eight hours of paid time off per month of both vacation and sick leave, with step increases up to 16 hours.  We also offer a retirement plan that provides up to 10% of your salary each pay period and employees are fully vested in 3 years.

We currently have 135 employees and continue to grow.  New Directions has several paid career path opportunities: a path for those just starting out and wanting to receive supervision to become a CADC or Licensed Clinician, a path for students who desire work experience while pursuing their education in a related field, and even a path for retirees who are looking to keep busy on a part-time basis.

We would like to talk with you about starting your career with us at New Directions Northwest, in beautiful Baker County.
