Chronic Pain Management Services

Chronic Pain Management Services

Our chronic pain management services are developed in collaboration with the individual or family seeking care. We take a holistic approach to pain management. This means we look at the whole person. Our services provide assistance in setting goals designed to help relieve suffering and improve your quality of life; getting you back to doing the things that are important to you.We are here to listen without judgment.

We strive to be sensitive to the cultural considerations of the individual, and acknowledge the impact of traumatic experiences on individuals and families. We offer clients the opportunity to share their experiences with others who have persistent pain, all in a safe and supportive environment.

Please keep in mind: We do not prescribe pain medications; your primary care provider does this. However, we will work with your primary care provider to develop a more holistic plan if needed.

What We Offer

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for chronic pain management uses acceptance, "mindfulness" and commitment to help refocus your life on the things that matter most. This means living life in the present moment, feeling what you feel, thinking what you think and living a life worth living.

Becoming a Patient

A referral from your primary care physician (PCP) is required for you to receive our pain management services. We begin with a one-hour introductory session that provides plenty of time for questions. If you decide that our program is right for you, we give you a comprehensive questionnaire to fill out for your first appointment.

You will then meet with one of our pain specialists who will work with you to determine the best treatment plan. Our program consists of community classes, peer-to-peer support, videos and written material to help you understand and reduce your pain.

It is important to note that this doesn’t replace the relationship with your primary care provider. We will communicate and work with your physician or provider to coordinate your pain related care.

Please call (541) 523-7400 with questions about our chronic pain management services, or to schedule an appointment.
